It’s so easy to be mesmerised by the bright lights of Christmas, to go through the long list of gifts we must buy for everyone, get that very important frock with the absolutely necessary shoes and matching handbag, along with the vital accessories – and that’s not counting the outfit for New Year’s Eve - that keeping our finances healthy slides way down the priority list.
It is understandable that we have the desire to give the very best; after all there is joy in giving, especially when it comes to our loved ones. And as we become surrounded by an assortment of such colourful temptations, how on earth are we supposed to resist reaching for the credit card and diving head first into our overdraft facility till it overflows above its fragile limit?
