Oh well, once again summer is over and the ominous return to school and work is at hand. No changes then, as the summer season seems to last three minutes rather than three months. And as the feeling of dread weighs us down, we still manage to drag ourselves back to our obligations, not by choice, but for having no other alternative. Many of us are intimately acquainted with this feeling as it faithfully swallows us up every year when autumn relieves summer of its duties.
On the practical side we have to face all the preparations, especially for those returning to school and university, and just as postponing those tasks will not make them vanish, procrastination can be a damaging barrier to progress.
Those with children might wonder whether they had a break at all, as most of their time has probably been consumed with preparing for the holidays and then for the inevitable return. Does it have to be like this, though?...
