While you are planning achievements for the next year, it makes a lot of sense to decide which habits and goals you have finished with. Moving on requires looking at what you have achieved, and whether or not you’re happy with it.
Looking back doesn’t always have to entail regret. The end of the year tends to make people focus on failings, but it’s important to recall what you have accomplished – even if it wasn’t on your resolution list or if you did not think it was important at the time.
If you’ve ever found yourself thinking that the year has gone by too quickly or that you haven’t accomplished things you wish you could have, then think again. It’s easy to lose track of your goals, so make the effort to review how far you have come in 2011.
